This is interesting to see increasing rain on snow events on the Arctic, but not unexpected.

Back in 2018-2019, I spent 21 days in a tent on top of about 1100 m of ice in #Antarctica (www.salsa-antarctica.org). Rain on show events were like a recurring nightmare. I kept running through my head what rain would do yo our camp. It could make the skiway too soft to land a plane. It could make camp slushy and soft enough to start sloping our temporary structures for work and life support. We would perhaps not be able to tractor our way out either. Now, it is important to note that there was basically a zero percent chance of this happening art that time, but times are changing. It will probably be a long time before we see any such thing in Antarctica, but it is interesting read about nonetheless in the Arctic.
