I built my own CLI tool, a note viewer called Stitch!
It's built around the idea of composing notes together in different ways (like howm for emacs). So you can capture your notes out-of-order, and then use regexp and tags to view them grouped in different ways. It uses grep (or ugrep) under the hood to remain snappy.
The idea is to be able to use any file-format, capture system and editor you want for your notes. So it works with org, asciidoc, markdown etc.
