Microsoft's family controls are so awful it makes me wonder how they got so big without any parents working there. Child asking for permission doesn't work. Apps lock down on screen timers I haven't set and leave other apps running (no more Chrome today but Steam is fine, now go to the school website and submit your homework). The help online varies from patronising to non-existent. How are these tools every parent needs so useless?
