"if GP visits were free people might go to the doctor more often, some would go unnecessarily... presenting one of the benefits of the idea as though it's a problem. Much better to have people turn up and be told "nope, you're fine" than the current strong preference for "if you'd come six months ago this would have been trivial to fix".
