In 2002, there was an update to windows media player that asked if I wanted to enable a feature that would upload metadata of my local media to MS to check if I had the rights to play it. No, of course not, why would I want that? The absurdity of that question was the catalyst that led me to Linux where I've been ever since. By today's standards, it seems so mundane compared to Windows Recall. #linux #Recall #Windows
