The more I have to deal with shipping software through 3rd party stores or even package formats, the more I want to avoid them at all costs.
Today's example: Microsoft MSIX packages identity (which ties an install to data generated by the app) is dependent on the entire Subject of the cert it was signed by. If *any* of that changes, your identity changes, and the app is either not installable, or the identity changes, and users lose their data: https://github.com/microsoft/msix-packaging/issues/365
