The Falls Trail at Bandelier, including an unusually large spotted whiptail sunning herself on the trail. ("Herself" because most local whiptail species, including this one, are parthenogenetic, so they're all female.)

Chihuahuan Spotted Whiptail: a very slender, graceful lizard with a long tail, and lines of buff-colored spots and stripes on a medium brown background.
A small but pretty stream, Rito Frijoles, leading up to the top of a waterfall. There's a fair amount of vegetation by the streamwide, and rocky canyon walls away from the stream. A hiker crouches at the edge of the stream, photographing something in the water with her phone.
