I posted this because I thought it was funny. Now that I've stopped to think for a moment, I am honestly wondering why it hasn't already happened. #Hackers who commit #identitytheft and drain bank accounts could follow-up that action by eliminating all of the debt associated with every account on the system (or every account they'd drained), thereby increasing the number of accounts they could drain in the future. They could drain, clear, drain, clear, drain and clear again, leaving an account as it was and/or without debt and a #victim (account holder) entirely unaware of the #crime committed. The #bank would have to identify the activity through continuous monitoring, which doesn't guarantee anything. Also, if the victims are left better off than they started, it would reduce the efforts taken by people trying to protect their own identities. Huh. Interesting.
