Wow, #nxp starts to officially offer support for programming the HiFi 4 DSPs on some of their i.MX8 SoCs using #zephyr as the real-time OS on the #DSP side:

Leveraging Zephyr SDK with the prebuilt tool chains for 9 architectures, this allows using the processing power of the DSP in a completely #freesoftware ecosystem in a straight forward way. No proprietary vendor tool chains or runtime libraries needed!
