They weren't huge mentions but it was soooo cool to see Plinky mentioned on @macstories and @verge this weekend. Still not sure if this is a bit of a fever dream or real life.
Plinky. Plinky is a new app for saving links on the iPhone and iPad from developer Joe Fabisevich that offers a wide range of ways to save links and automate the process. The app adopts folder and tagging systems for organizing links and syncs via iCloud. In addition to share sheet support, the app offers extensions to save links via Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Zapier, and other services. Plus, Plinky Mini is available on the Mac App Store to save links from your Mac. Plinky supports a wide variety of Shortcuts actions that are available in the Shortcuts app or via Siri or Spotlight Search, and it includes its own API for developers. Finally, Plinky is highly customizable, allowing you to fine-tune how you want the app to display your saved links. The app's interface is busier and chunkier than I prefer, but I love how many ways there are to get links in and out of Plinky and to automate the entire process.
The Varga Menu + This week, I've been writing about iPads and LinkedIn games, reading about auto shows and typewriters and treasure hunters, watching Everybody's in LA and Sugar, looking for reasons to buy Yeti's new French press even though I definitely don't need more coffee gear, following almost all of Jerry Saltz's favorite Instagram accounts, testing Capacities and Heptabase for all my note-taking needs and Plinky for all my link-saving, and playing a lot of Blind Drive.
