Down Tor (or Hingston Hill), Dartmoor. A megalithic ring-cairn attached to a stone row.

Photo of a ring-cairn (stone circle) in the foreground and single stone row leading away from it. The row starts with a tall (9ft) granite pillar standing just outside the circle, left of centre of the frame. The first stones leading from it decrease in size. The row stretches on into the distance over undulating moorland of short green grass - dipping down then rising up again, stopping short of the brow of the slope.
The sky overhead is blue with a few white, cotton-woolly clouds that throw shadows over the ground.

Photo taken just in front of the leading stone pillar. It’s angular, the straight sides crusted with yellow and grey lichens. Stones lead away from it to the right, in decreasing height initially.
A few tufts of dark green soft rush sprout up from the short turf either side of the row.
Wispy white clouds scud across the blue sky.
