Okay, so someone tried to invalidate my point by comparing vocabulary usage with grammar rules.
Vocabulary evolves and changes, grammar pretty much stays the same. The structure created by grammar is what gives meaning to vocabulary.
Now if they had used the will/shall comparison i would have been hard pressed…
