Brasso does the same thing, but I loathe Brasso, because it is sooooooo messy. Anyway, it wouldn't get at the insides of these tubes.
If I wanted to polish, I would use a general polish and then give the CitriSurf treatment. Simichrome works well. There are those color coded French compounds, such as rouge (rouge is extremely messy). And there are diamond pastes. And Zona paper. And micromesh, though that is really made for wood. Etc.
