The Dromiciops gliroidesnative or Monito del Monte, also known as the Colocolo Opossum or Chumaihuén, is native to Argentina and Chile. They are the smallest marsupials in South America, reaching lengths of 8.3 to 13 centimeters or 3.2 to 5.1 inches and weigh 16.7 to 31.4 grams or 0.58 to 1.10 ounces!
