Cut the belt to length as calculated above, with scissors. Cut at a sharp angle, so the belt is wedge-shaped at the tip. This makes it easier to thread through the belt slots.
I didn't take a photo.
The formula lengths are a little bit long so don't worry if you're not perfectly accurate, or if you wonder if you should include the wedge end in the length or not. Just get it close.
