It seems Elektron is trying to satisfy the part of the community that want's to have do-everything device with sample chopping, re-pitching etc. A groovebox. However Digitakt is not a groovebox, it never was. It's something else - a sample based drum-machine like a Linndrum or SP1200 but even more straightforward. Of course it's possible to do much more with that (as ppl did with SP) but what Elektron has added only works well with perfect loops already cut to length in the computer. So boring.
