Rainbow city

Looking across Berlin from a height of 50 metres. We are on the observation deck of Französischer Dom - the French cathedral. The balustrade is fenced off with a metal security net that makes a pattern of diamond-shaped openings. Someone has wound multi-coloured threads round one little diamond to create a rainbow border. We are looking through the rainbow diamond as it frames two of the highest and most famous landmarks, tiny in the distance - Fernsehturm (television tower) and Berlin Domkirke (cathedral). Like my hometown of Aarhus, Berlin is one of the official Rainbow Cities in the Rainbow City Network that works for social inclusion and LGBTI+ rights, so this rainbow framing feels right.
