Much like the Beaver Run or Indian Hills or Pine Ridge ilk of suburb naming in the USA, it really bugs me when people exterminate what was in a place and then claim it as a badge of heritage. Anywhere in my region you can see "This is Cathar Country!" proudly displayed as a touristic slogan on billboards, bumper stickers, and coffee mugs. Grrr. That's rich, after your ancestors erased them so thoroughly that we had to look for Inquisition trial notes to learn anything at all about them!
