We installed a DC-powered compressor refrigerator in our travel trailer today, replacing the factory propane-powered ammonia absorption cycle refrigerator. The old one took a long time to get cold and struggled to hold temperature if it was hot outside. I also had to shut it off before fueling the car, boarding a ferry or even transiting some bridges/tunnels (open flame). The new one will run off the trailer's 400W solar power system with a 230Ah LiFePO4 battery.
