Today's historic #photo of the day: Y124 and another Y class double head a broad gauge VLine passenger #train of wooden bodied carriages bound for Sunbury into the station at Footscray, Vic, December 28 1984.
Whilst Sunbury is today part of Melbourne's suburban electrified network, until 2012, it was served by VLine Bendigo line trains, and on weekday peak hours, there were a few short distance VLine trains that terminated at Sunbury.
