I get really tired of awesomebros being like "HURRHURR IMAGINE A BEAR TRYING TO SURVIVE IN THE MESOZOIC" and they think the issue is BIGGER ANIMALS ARE BETTER, and not that oxygen levels were so low large mammals would suffocate
conversely, mesozoic dinosaurs could not survive in the cenozoic because it gets too cold.
it goes both ways
modern mammals are designed around cenozoic conditions, non-avian dinosaurs around mesozoic conditions. neither could survive in the other's time
