In a feature request, if you bring up prior art across multiple platforms to demonstrate a convention or consensus this is great. Show me a thing that exists in Windows, GNOME, and tvOS. I love this
If you only bring up macOS, this is not convincing. There’s plenty of conventions in macOS that aren’t even carried over to other Apple OSes. Not even Apple agrees with every design decision in macOS. It is not and has never been my goal to blindly cargo cult design decisions from macOS.
