Conference/training thing with the Technician Overlords today. They cover craft/design technicians too, so I signed up for a welding intro. Makes such a difference to have somebody tell you what you're doing wrong and show you how to fix it. From "laughable" to "rubbish, but serviceable for anything unimportant" (my words, not theirs) feels like a big jump forward.
