My oldest son, Ryan, KIA in Iraq in August of 2006, would be 38 today. During the day, it’s not too bad, even if the 38th birthday of my “Champion” fell on a Saturday this year but then … the night. This shit hurts and it always will and among the many things I think about every damn day is I will never understand with as much it DOES hurt mind, body and soul forever somehow no one’s been able to ever stop war from the beginning of time right up to today.
