My Dad is very ill with heart failure so I went to see him despite the way he's treated me.
He's very frail and it's heart breaking to be honest.
I also found out today that there is a "points based system" to decide if its economically worth giving him a heart valve replacement.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU INTRODUCE BUSINESS MODELS INTO PUBLIC SERVICES.
Instead of making life saving medical decisions on value for money, how about we just use compassion and common decency.
