Most malpractice cases never go trial (either dropped altogether or settled), but of those that do, 80-90% are found in favor of the physician by a jury. Think about that. Joe Public finds that the care did not meet the standards for negligence required by law in 80-90% of cases that go to trial. That means the injury lawyers make a ton of money off of patients, and patients get zero compensation, in most cases.
Increasing damages doesnβt change that.
