Joe really has gone all in on having a mom. And she is a mom to worry about. What with the debt and illness.
Also Wut's words of comfort will only go so far, when Joe knows he's not Joe2 and therefore not her "actual" son. Which, I imagine she will be distressed on finding out that he's not Joe. But he's been functioning as her son for a bit now.
