Fun fact: the walk drags on a bit, but it's a quiet path mainly away from the streets. Also there are 16 locks on those 4 miles. While I was wondering how much work was needed to have a boat pass all these locks at lock 1 to 6 I was lucky enough to watch the procedure at lock 13. Do you call that "locking" a boat?
It does involve a lot of time and several people. Fascinating.
