The root problem with this approach is that the team has planned to build an automobile. In effect, while the "Not like this..." case is about building an automobile piece by piece, the "Like this!" case depicts a skateboard repeatedly going through metamorphosis until it reaches its adult state as a car.
But that's not how it works. Agile development involves continuous learning that is fed back into design and development.
A skateboard is not the larval form of an automobile.
