Here's how to interview for a "values fit," which is as flawed as interviewing for "culture fit," but at least it's scalable, repeatable, and explainable:
Write down the company’s values (my last employer, PagerDuty, has a public list of values.)
For each value, ask a candidate a question like, “One of our values is Champion the Customer. It means _____ to us. Is this something that resonates with you? If so, can you give me a specific example of when that value drove your behaviour?”
