_The Evening Post_, 20 May 1924:
TEPID BATH SPORTS
The Tepid Baths should prove the centre of attraction to the sporting and music-loving public to-morrow night, when a programme of exceptional merit will be given, comprising novelty water sports and a high class concert, in which several well-known artists are appearing. An item which should appeal to all will be that given by Mr. A. Bishaw, of Honolulu and Sydney, on the Hawaiian steel guitar and ukulele, and the fancy #diving display by Mr. W. Hicks, ex-champion of New Zealand, who is considered by experts to be the best “stunt” diver in the Dominion to-day. Chinese lanterns reflected in the water will add to the gaiety of the evening.
