The new scheme for school lunches us brilliant from Rimmer's perspective.
First slashing costs from $8 to $3 per meal will save a lot. Especially in the long run.
Secondly switching from meals to sandwiches and sugar bars, erm muesli bars, which last longer will further reduce uptake. Three day old sandwiches?
Thirdly the removal of those back-office caterering companies. Brilliant - let the frontline teachers do it, perhaps the best Marmite maker can get ACTs much coveted perfotmance pay.
All of the above will be brilliant, as the meals are enshittified. This will mean fewer students will eat them, therefore proving the whole scheme is wasteful.
Once it is proven students don't want to eat enshittified meals, the whole programme can be reviewed and canned, therefore giving landlords further tax breaks, so they can lower rents even further.
And this, my dear reader, will benefit all.
