Update 7A
Rather long ride today, 25KM at 17.1KM/hour for 1.5 hours. As this is the Midwest US, it was rather windy, tail wind out and head wind back. I know, I am not very smart. Met a couple of other satisfied Blix customers on the ride, they were towing their kids along. Beautiful day.
Now, for those who think, "Ebiking is not exercise:" I say, "Baaahh."
Had my heart rate monitor on today. Average HR over the entire time, 116 BPM. Max heart rate, 130+BPM. To put this in to some context, when I was pretty serious about biking 30 years ago -- no ebikes then! I rode a hybrid Trek on the road and considered 120-135 my aerobic zone and rode there most of my time on the bike. So on the EBike, I am basically in the same HR zone, the boost is just helping me maintain the same speed I had on a "manual" bike. 30 years later.
I don't see any problem with that. 😃
