This year I played Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty, which are both really great, but so many characters are tragic, traumatised or just have a lot of baggage. They're so obviously in need of a hug, and in most cases you can't even give them one!
You can drink while they unload their baggage, and perhaps do an awkward dance, but a hug? no
