Fun issue a colleague encountered today: Couldn't acces some appliance after changing network settings through their web UI.
After an hour of searching, the cause: They had Firefox' auto-translate enabled. The translate function changed "bond0" to "Bindung0" in an HTML <select> field. The <option>-tags do not have a vaule tag set internally. Mix that with some lazy error-handling and you get the "Bindung0" ending up in the Linux networking context.
